He said
   some days I
just don’t want
   to feel...
anything.
   No guilt,
no sympathy,
   no remorse,
no tears,
   for abused women,
starving children,
   abandoned old people.

No sad movies...
   bout a ravaged 
earth...war torn
   landscapes with
with burned and
   tortured bodies...some
days I just
   don’t want
to think or
   feel the shame.

No regrets
   for past mistakes...I
made, wrong decisions
   nor the pain of these
feelings.
