In the summer of 2016, I approached Ms. Marge about working together on a poetry contest that would involve children writing poems and getting treats from The Peanut Shoppe. The contest: Poetry: Crackin' & Poppin' at The Peanut Shoppe was born. In working with kids during in summer camp at a local YMCA, I used to go to field trips at The Peanut Shoppe, it was always a cool place and the people there were really friendly and made us feel welcome. Once my time working with youth was over, I knew that I wanted to continue to work with The Peanut Shoppe in some capacity. It is a wonderful place with lots of cool history and a variety of treats that are sure to keep you coming back.
